Parkview Education is excited to announce in-person teacher trainings for the 2019-2020 school year. Parkview will be hosting two-day trainings that will ensure that teachers will be able to implement Virtual Workplace Experience II successfully.
Training will cover:
- What is VWE II
- Project-based learning introduction and best practices
- Review of each of the VWE II projects, associated rubrics, and student accommodations
- Nepris integration and usage training
- Using and teaching students to use BLS, LAWorks, and associated regional online resources
- Building industry connections
- How to plan around technology
- Planning unit-by-unit and lesson-by-lesson for entire course
In addition to the in-person training, all teachers who attend will receive personal support from the Parkview Education team throughout the 2019-2020 school year.
At the request of many districts we have elected to offer training on a regional basis to best accommodate the needs of all schools.
Bayou Region – Thibodeaux, July 9-10, 9am-3pm
Central Region – Alexandria, July 11-12, 9am-3pm
Capital Region – Baton Rouge, July 16-17, 9am-3pm (Training Site TBA)
Southeast Region – New Orleans, July 18-19, 9am-3pm
Acadiana Region – Lafayette, July 22-23, 9am-3pm
Southwest Region – Lake Charles, July 25-26, 9am-3pm
Northeast Region – Monroe, July 29-30, 9am-3pm
Northwest Region – Shreveport, July 31 & August 1, 9am-3pm
